An overview.
First session from Rs 1000
Counselling sessions are an hour at a time, given over to thinking out loud. Together we work toward self actualisation, which is just a longer word for hearing yourself clearly.
Counselling sessions involve an hour of therapy with the goal of self actualisation for the patron. Self actualisation is the belief that all human beings will inherently, with a clear mind, do what is best for the self. Counselling allows the patron to overcome obstacles that may be conscious or subconscious in order to make good decisions for themselves. Counseling usually offers clarity.
A counselling room is not a stage. There is no performance, no right answer, no audience to manage. The whole point is to slow down enough that you can hear yourself think. Most of the work is simply this. Saying things aloud, in a room where saying them is safe.
Counselling offers clarity. And with clarity comes calm.
Some weeks the conversation lands on a decision. Some weeks it does not. Both are useful. The aim is not to resolve every thread, but to leave each session feeling a little less alone with it.
A quiet rhythm, not a rigid plan.
Therapy is not procedural. These are the four movements you can expect, each one shaped around you.
Settle in.
A few minutes to land in the room. There is no rush to get to the point.
Speak openly.
Whatever is taking up the most room this week is usually a good place to start.
Notice patterns.
Over time, you begin to see the same kinds of weeks repeat. We name them out loud.
Take it home.
A small idea, or a single question to sit with, that you can carry into the next seven days.
A few things people often ask.
How long do most people stay in counselling?
It varies, from a few sessions to a few months. We review openly, together, and stop when it makes sense to stop.
What if nothing has happened that week?
That is a useful session in itself. Quiet weeks often contain a lot, once we slow them down.
Will you give me advice?
Sparingly, and only when it is clearly helpful. The goal is your clarity, not our opinion.
Can I bring up things I have never told anyone?
Yes. That is often the moment the work begins. There is no expectation of order, or polish, in what you bring.
